Well, we had a very busy show week at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, LA this week. My favorite poodle handler, Betty Brown, came to New Orleans with a large poodle entourage and we had a great time helping her and learning. Also we had some friends of Cadeau visit the setup and see how show poodles are trained and groomed for the ring firsthand.
This was Giselle's 2nd dog show and I must say, she did really well. She showed well for me and even took the "Best Puppy" award on Friday (photos coming soon).
And Comet obtained her Canine Good Citizen certificate at the dog show as well! I am so proud of my girl. She nailed the test in the face of SO many distractions - people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. She is such a great girl. I am lucky to have my wonderful poodles!
Hopefully I can find some photos to post. It is hard to get good photo and video when everyone is holding onto a dog. I even got some ring experience (despite my numerous objections) with other varieties of poodles.
